About me

I work as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electric Power Engineering (DEPE), Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics (FEI), Technical University of Košice (TUKE). I am also Head of the Power System Protection Laboratory (LOCH). In both teaching and research I focus on the key challenges of modern power engineering — above all protection systems, the integration of renewable energy sources and smart grid technologies.

Research areas

Electromobility

Electric vehicle charging infrastructure and detailed analysis of charging processes and their impact on the power system.

Protection systems

Design, parameterisation and coordination of protection systems for medium-voltage (MV) and low-voltage (LV) networks.

Microgrids

Design, control and optimisation of microgrids and local energy systems.

Renewable energy sources

Integration of photovoltaic power plants, power quality assessment and control, and protection of renewable sources.
